The Green Ambassador's: GREEN TIP OF THE DAY
IS IT HOT? JUST ASK A CRICKET
Count the number of times a field of crickets chirps in 15 seconds, then add 40 to the chirps total to arrive at the approximate temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. Simple! FYI: In 1897 physicist Amos Dolbear posited a link between temperature and how often crickets chirp, which speeds up in heat because crickets are cold-blooded critters.-Dolbear Law.
