CHAINSAW WOOD CARVINGS IN DRUID HILL PARK

In the Fall of 2011, the Friends of Druid Hill Park along with the Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks and the Baltimore Office of Promotion sought to commission a talented professional artist to create artwork from two existing stumps in the park. Mark Acton was selected from a group of artists that submitted proposals.  Work has begun!
Over the next few weeks the Artist, Mark Acton, will be completing the first carving (The Druid) and starting the second carving located closer to the Druid Hill Reservoir.

Congratulations Mark Acton, Friends of Druid Hill Park and the Baltimore City Recreation and Parks for this natural visual environmental treat.

As The Green Ambassador, "I am thrilled to see the use of  creative sustainability for all to enjoy for centuries to come"
